The public meeting will take place at Dobbs Ferry Village Hall, 112 Main Street Dobbs Ferry, New York 10522. The purpose of the public meeting is to adopt the final scoping document relative to the Environmental Impact Statement (“EIS”) that will analyze potentially significant adverse impacts of the Rivertowns Square Project. All documents related to the Rivertowns Square Project are available at Village Hall and available on the Village’s website at www.dobbsferry.com. The Village Board of Trustees will continue to take written public comment on the scoping document up and including, April 22, 2011. No public comment will be permitted at the May 3, 2011 special public meeting.
On 3/29/11, the Board of Trustees will be holding a public “scoping session” at 7 PM at Village Hall regarding the proposed Rivertowns Square Project. As required by law, the developers have submitted a list of issues that must be addressed in the draft Environmental Impact Study. At that meeting the public is permitted to submit their own list of issues that they would like addressed, (such as traffic within a specific area or specific environmental concerns). While we intend to submit a list, we aren’t experts, so we may have missed some important issues. We therefore, urge you all to take a look at the Draft Scoping document on the official Village website. If there are any issues that you would like to see addressed, you can submit them at the meeting; or mail them to the Village. We are interested in seeing your suggestions, so please send us a copy. If you like, we can include your ideas with the list that we intend to submit. It is our understanding that the developers will have to address and provide a solution to all of the raised issues. The more issues that are raised, the more information we will have in making an informed decision. Please review the document, give us some input and attend the meeting. Thanks.
